| In hydroponics, the plant gets the nutrients it needs to grow from the nutrient solution flowing past the roots. The nutrients we sell are complete balanced diets for the plant containing all macro, micro and trace elements designed for growing plants in hydroponic grow systems. These are the same elements that the plant would derive from soil, but being water soluble they are immediately made available to the plant without it having to expend any energy looking for them. Thus, root systems remain small while the plant grows quickly above the surface. All are safe to use on plants that will be consumed by people. |

The Flora series is a three part nutrient formula. All three are
mixed in varying proportions to suit plant variety and growth stages.
Recipes are on bottles. General Hydroponics recommends a 3-2-1 ratio
for aggressive plant growth. In the vegetative stage, a mix of 3
teaspoons Grow, 2 teaspoons Micro, 1 teaspoon Bloom per gallon of water
and in the flowering stage, 3 teaspoons Bloom, 2 teaspoons Micro and 1
teaspoon Grow per gallon of water are recommended.

In spite of Hydroponics' accelerated growth rates, cleanliness, ease
of maintenance and overall better plant development, some folks still prefer
to grow in containers filled with soil or sterile mixes. All of the
following nutrients can be blended with soil prior to planting or mixed
with the water when you water your plants. Organics are gentle, do
not burn roots and are considered a more wholesome and natural way to provide
a plant with nutrients. They enhance the flavor and size of fruits,
herbs and vegetables.
